You can surf or search or use the labels to follow a thread of ideas. Imagine in some crazy way you are watching my thoughts evolve, seeing ideas become connected , or observing an amorphous cloud giving birth to sources of light and matter. Treat this place metaphorically as a place of unformed galaxies and planetary systems rather than merely as a diary.

patience

I really have problems sometimes because what seems so obvious to me isn't for someone else. Or sometimes it take years for something I suggested, which was obvious to me, to be adopted.

Recently I've been helping some people sort out priorities in life. For example they are dissatisfied with their job and want to change. People feel work has to be fulfilling yet sometimes that gets in the way of their calling in life. Sometimes work is to pay the bill and finance the God-given projects. Sometimes my internationals get distracted because of their own insecurities and lack of courage. However if you have a sense of your priorities then moving forwards in all aspects of your life becomes at least a little easier.

Scott Berkun, hard-nosed project manager puts wisdom this way

  • What problem are we trying to solve?
  • Does this problem relate to our top goals or is it a distraction?
  • Is this problem important enough to warrant changing our priorities?
  • What is the simplest way to resolve this that will allow us to meet our goals?
  • If we're struggling to meet our goals, which goal can we drop down to Priority 2?
Furthermore he states "The problem is that if you can't say no, you can't have priorities." So true and it cuts two ways. True of those who are wandering aimlessly and those who are getting on with living life to all its fullness. This is so true of the spiritual life. "I wish my devotional life was better." "I wish I could spend more time with God." So why don't they? Because it's not a priority! Priorities are not about feelings but willpower. Somehow we don't want to do the work or apply the self-discipline when simply it's all about us seeking and then finding/being found by God.
