You can surf or search or use the labels to follow a thread of ideas. Imagine in some crazy way you are watching my thoughts evolve, seeing ideas become connected , or observing an amorphous cloud giving birth to sources of light and matter. Treat this place metaphorically as a place of unformed galaxies and planetary systems rather than merely as a diary.

small vision, small mind, small imagination

I've spent 1 week trying to work on my little 9 inch screen netbook while my 20 inch iMac was under investigation and then repaired. It's home now and I'm working on it.

Somehow working on the tiny screen, I found I couldn't be flexible and multitask... I couldn't think broad picture. I couldn't think outside one box or screen. Last Saturday I was at a workshop which lasted 9.30am-5pm looking at the enneagram a way of understanding personality types and their strength and problem areas. I found it long but not boring. In the back of my mind was my non-functioning computer. In the system of the enneagram I'm an artist or individualist - this blog is one of my personal creative statements. It isn't the only but it is an important tool for me. The big screen allows me breadth and multiple windows open at the same time and the fusion of ideas and imagination.

A broad vision means broad thinking and broad imagination. Whether functionally in normal mundane life or ministry or even spirituality this seems to apply. JB Phillip's book Your God is too small always creeps back into my mind. It's very dated in examples but somehow still very relevant. The challenge is how has your vision of God reduced God's activity. Just how big is your image or how broad is your image? How many of the titles of God do you know? How many have you used?
